My Background
I am a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Pacifica Graduate
Institute, and am working towards licensure as a Clinical Psychologist
in the State of Washington. To be in Candidacy means that I have completed all of my required
course work, passed my exams, and have an approved dissertation
project. Candidacy generally lasts two years. My dissertation
explores experiences of fragmentation
in trauma and the process of healing those wounds in adulthood. I am exploring this material from mythic, psychoanalytic,
and archetypal perspectives.
I am a member of several local and national professional organizations
including:
- American Psychological Association, Division 39, Psychoanalysis
- Washington Psychological Association
- Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study
- International Association for the Study of Dreams
- Seattle Counselors Association
Washington State Registered Counselor, # RC00024533
I bring over two and a half decades of experience in human services, psychology, and the arts to my practice of clinical psychology and psychotherapy. At this point I have
completed my required pre-doctoral training hours and am working on my hours for licensing as a Clinical Psychologist.
If you have further questions about my background, orientation,
or training that will help you in your search for a therapist, please call or email.
